Industrial Fixed Misting Lines
Referred to as either Mist Lines, Fixed System or Static Misting System, the same approach is ideal for both cooling and industrial applications. The system consists of individual nozzles fitted at required intervals along rigid or semi-flexible tubing.
These lines are highly adaptable, using junctions and branches to follow any building layout—including roof trusses, warehouse doorways, or factory cabling. Powered by a 1000psi High-Pressure Pump Module, the water is atomized into an ultra-fine mist.
Systems can operate independently or alongside fans for improved airflow, often utilizing cycle timers for automated control. We provide a tailored approach for industrial environments to ensure your team benefits from significant cooling without impacting machinery, products, or daily operations.
Features
- Effective mist formula, a system running at 1000psi or 70bar creates a fine mist from each nozzle without drips or wet areas.
- OZmist’s tiny nozzle creates millions of tiny 5-10 micron droplets, low flow rate for such a high surface area & therefore very effective for cooling.
- Cost effective, easy to install and maintain, cooling that makes a big impact.
- With a large number of fittings available for either Push lock and Quick Fit we can design a system for almost any location.
Specifications
- OZmist’s nozzles create millions of tiny 5-10 micron droplets that atomise on release, evaporating and cooling, without condensation or drips.
- Flow rates per nozzle are 0.2mm (56ml/minute) or 0.15mm (36ml/minute).
- Pumps come in a variety of sizes and the number correlates to the maximum number of standard 0.2mm nozzles they can run. Small and medium alfresco systems will often use our CPM25 (1.4ltr) and CPM55 (3ltr) pumps. OZmist’s OZ range of pumps go from the OZ85 (5ltr) and continue up to the OZ320 or more.
- Nylon tubing comes in rolls and easily cut with appropriate hose cutters.
Benefits
- Provides significant cooling benefits into large open and spaces that are challenged by radiant heat.
- Energy Efficient: extremely efficient with low water usage due to the 1000psi pressure pumps and tiny nozzle size. Cycle timers are often added to automate on/off intervals.
- No drips, wetting of floors or condensation – just cooling up to less 10 degrees and only to where it’s most needed.
- Very cost effective to install and maintain.
- Misting also keeps the flies away!
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to use a High-Pressure Pump with your Static Systems?
Yes, if no high-Pressure Pump is used regular mains pressure will not have sufficient force to open the orifice on our Nozzles, will not be effective & just drip and wet the surrounding area.
What are the best ways to control or automate the pump operation?
Cycle timers provide great control for most warehouses and industrial workplaces, with on/off dials to control intervals. i.e. mist 1 minute “On”, 4 minutes “Off”. OZmist has a number of options for automation and control of our misting systems.
Can I install the delivery line, tubing to any surface?
Mist lines can be fixed to a solid surface (timber, steel or masonry) with the saddles ‘P’ clips supplied. They can also be cable tied to existing cabling or overhead stainless catenary wire which is a great option for spanning open areas that would otherwise be hard to connect. Avoid fixing lines to any thin or hollow material such as guttering or colour-bond sheeting, use a stand off bracket as noise vibration will
amplify.
What height and spacing of nozzles is recommended?
As a guide, misting nozzles are usually set at approx 3.5m to 4.5m height but will vary from site to site depending on the size of the space, whether it is largely pen or entirely closed, vehicles and forklifts, whether the cooling is needed for particular areas. However if in doubt or you’re unsure please call and talk to one of our experts.
