Humidification
Known as Mist Lines, Fixed Systems, or Static Misting, this versatile approach serves both cooling and industrial applications. The system features individual nozzles spaced along rigid stainless steel or semi flexible nylon tubing, with junctions and branches available to match any building layout.
At the core is an OZmist High-Pressure Pump Module, which pressurizes clean water to 1000psi to create an ultra-fine mist. Each pump is specifically selected to match the required nozzle volume and flow rate of the installation.
We stock 3/8” and 1/2” nylon lines with “Push Lock” fittings for a quick, simple installation, alongside hydraulic lines and compression fittings. For the nozzle sections, stainless steel “Quick Fit” tubing is often preferred for its rigid, uniform lengths and professional finish, while the supply line from the pump typically utilizes flexible nylon.
Features
- Cost effective, simple to install and maintain.
- Integrates with OZmist’s dosing modules, weather stations, cycle timers & motion sensors to control issues in line with operations or conditions.
- OZmist’s nozzles creates millions of tiny 5-10 micron droplets that atomise on release without condensation or drips.
- Nylon tubing comes in rolls and easily cut with appropriate hose cutters.
- Effective mist formula, a system running at 1000psi or 70bar delivering a fog of atomised mist from each nozzle.
- Scalable design, and controlled mist delivery. Pumps come in a variety of sizes to suit the number of nozzles they can run, with capacity for expansion etc.
Specifications
- Flow rates per nozzle are 0.3mm (110m/minute) 0.2mm (56ml/minute) or 0.15mm (36ml/minute)
- Smaller systems will use our CPM25 (1.4ltr) and CPM55 (3ltr) pumps. OZmist’s OZ range of pumps go from the OZ85 (5ltr) and continue up to the OZ320 or more. Single and Three Phase pumps are available in the larger sizes.
- OZmist holds all Push Lock components in stock in ⅜”, ½” sizes
- Nylon tubing comes in rolls and easily cut with appropriate hose cutters.
- Stainless steel is ⅜” diameter with lengths pre cut at our factory. Sections have a notch grooved into each end, for a small 3mm grub screw to locate during installation.
Benefits
- Simple Installation, fixed in a set position with no moving parts. Once installed it does not have to be touched again.
- Only requires a single power and water connection.
- Works seamlessly with our humidification modules, weather station sensors & cycle timers.
- Controlled delivery and drip free, no wetting of surfaces, floors or materials when running a high-pressure pump.
- OZmist’s nozzle creates millions of tiny 10 micron droplets, low flow rate for such a high surface area & therefore so effective for controlling climates.
- Versatile, lines can be branched off for different purposes or zones, all from the 1 pump.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I install the Static Tube to any surface?
We would recommend that our Static Tube be installed on solid material such as steel, masonry or timber beams using OZmist’s supplied P clips / saddles. We advise against fixing directly to thin tin sheeting or colourbond to avoid any vibration or humming noise. Fixing with cable ties is excellent and fast. Ie to existing pipework or structure. 3mm stainless catenary wire is great to span lengths of sheds or between trusses, with the mist line cable tied to that.
What are the best ways to control and automate the pump operation?
OZmist has a number of options for automation including thermostats, cycle timers, weather stations (wind direction), humidistats & sensors etc to control tolerances and when pumps activate. Our team will discuss best way to manage this to suit your operations and requirements.
