Misting Fans Range
Misting is an effective method to control radiant heat, particularly in hard to manage farm environments such as sheds, barns, stables and dairies.
Mist fans can be used as a stand alone solution, or in combination with misting lines / nozzles place along the delivery lines that connect them. Each fan is fitted with a six nozzle stainless steel misting ring and superfine
nozzles.
Matched to an OZmist pump, clean water is pressurised to 1000psi / 70 bar and when the system runs, atomised mist is released to cool up to less 10 degress, without drips or wet areas.
In farm sheds and livestock environments, OZmist high pressure misting systems provide multiple benefits, as used for odour suppression as well as application for sanitation & health. By connecting a dosing module and 1:100 ratio of our specialised odour neutraliser, the misting system becomes a solution not only for cooling but to apply applications to help promote growth, control disease & mortality and remove pungent odours and issues that’s created by that.

- OZmist’s nozzles creates millions of tiny 5-10 micron droplets that atomise on release, evaporating and cooling, without condensation or drips.
- Flow rates per nozzle are 0.2mm (56ml/minute) or 0.15mm (36ml/minute).
- Pumps come in a variety of sizes and will have a maximum flow rate / number of nozzles they can run. Pump modules are chosen based on the size of the system required, keeping in mind factors such as operations, future expansion or multi zones.
- Thick walled high pressure tubing comes in ½” and ⅜” and rated to 1400psi.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to use a High-Pressure Pump with your Misting Systems?
Yes, if no high-Pressure Pump is used regular mains pressure will not have sufficient force to open the orifice on our Nozzles and will just drip water and wet floors and
the surrounding area.
I have a ventilation system install already, can this be used?
Farms will most likely have an HVAC, fans or existing system in place already. Retro fitting mist rings to the front of these is what creates the cooler air. We can tailor a
system to suit, based on the airflow, volume and size of the shed in question. We’ll need more details but essentially yes it’s easy to do and we can work in with any
existing systems you have.
Can I install the delivery line, tubing to any surface?
We would recommend that lines be installed on solid surface (timber, steel or masonry) with the saddles ‘P’ clips supplied. They can also be cable tied to existing cabling or overhead stainless catenary wire that can be installed, this is neat, quick and a great option for spanning open areas that would otherwise be hard to connect. Avoid fixing lines to any thin or hollow material such as guttering or colourbond sheeting, as noise vibration will amplify.
What are the best ways to control and automate the pump operation?
OZmist has a number of options for automation including thermostats, cycle timers, weather stations (wind direction), humidistats, motion sensors etc that control when pumps activate.
Cycle timers provide great control for most environments with on/off dials to control intervals. ie mist 1 minute “On”, 5 minutes “Off”. We cover this with each client and will advise once we know factors such as farm & area details, location etc.
